Feeling all nostalgic.

Does this remind anyone else about something? Something that you aren't sure of?

The beginning... It feels so nostalgic. Im not sure why. Maybe it's just because it's the tune from one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who - "Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead." One of the scariest, sad, maddening, grip-your-chair, sleep-less-night type of episode.

I was going to be all nostalgic, but while I was searching for a good nostalgic song to be nostalgic about, I stumbled across the music above. DONNA. That's her theme. What a fantastic character! She's absolutely sarcastic, hilarious... NOBLE. XD She's such a... fantastic person! God, I love Donna. XD

*listens to "The Girl with No Name" again*

Im have no idea why the first 6 seconds feel so nostalgic. Those 6 seconds evoke the same emotion that "A Window to the Past" from the Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban evoke. That sort of... stare into the distance type feeling.

River Song.

SPOILERS BEWARE FROM THIS POINT ON

IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?

BECAUSE I WILL BE TALKING ABOUT MAJOR PLOT TWISTS PRESENT IN THE FIFTH AND SIXTH SERIES SO FAR!

OK?

BECAUSE IF YOU HAVNT SEEN THOSE TWO SERIES YOULL BE TERRIBLE MAD AT ME FOR SPOILING IT!

IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?

OK!

... I tried to make the picture as small as I could in case idiots decided to keep on looking. It didn't work.

This song... Is one of those songs that you can also just stare out into the distance to. And it's the music playing during one of the most sad and... memorable... and important scenes ever. ... I remember the first time I heard this not in the episode, I cried. Honest to goodness. Just... what? They can't just kill off the main character! ... He knew he was going to die! he planned this! ... But of course he knew, Amy accidentally told him when she thought she told the ganger!Doctor...

URGH. You know what's sad? River and the Doctor. They keep on meeting... but they both know how both of them will die. The first time the Doctor meets River, she sacrifices herself so that he will have those times with her, in his future, in her past. River saw the Doctor walk up to the astronaut in 2011... Just walk up to him and know that he's going to die. heck - he even invited River, Amy, and Rory to see... To know. So he knew, at the moment of his death, maybe even before, that all their adventures, starting from the cafe meeting... They knew how he was going to die.

Imagine working right by River Song... But at the same time, knowing that in a few years, she's going to connect herself to a computer and... poof. River Song must feel the same way, flirting with the man who's body she just let burn in a boat on a lake.

It's just so sad...

I admit it, i cried at this point.

As much as I love both the Doctor and River Song... Their story is just too sad.

URGH. I want to draw some fanart... But how in the world am I to show their demented relationship... \

RIP River Song
RIP Doctor

Im just going to spam this with random Doctor Who watnots

I love Matt Smith. He rocks so much, even if he's dancing like a fool on a blank greenscreen.

3 minutes and 38 seconds of amazing fez. Actually, I have my own fez. Here's a picture of me and a friend of mine wearing our Doctor costumes (she's Ten and I'm Eleven). Yeah. I don't have my sonic screwdriver, another friend of mine forgot it to give it to me that day. But I guess that's karma, because I totally forgot her camera at the building where we were the day before (we found it though!)

Alex Kingston reminds me of that wise independent woman person character from books. Like... URGH Can't you just describe her like that? And... I feel for Matt. D:

How, this, as seen from the actors, is from Ten's era. I don't know why I even posted this. This really isn't that interesting...

However, this is very entertaining. Tennant is very entertaining. XD he just sorta runs in and FAILS.

Sometimes, I love this guy.

John: DAVID. IVE GOT CAKE.
David: WOOHOOO!!

JOHN BARROWMAN YOU ROCK. "These are our stunt devils. They do the stuff we're not allowed to do, like *starts lauhing* sit in the car *laughs some more* WHILE ITS STATIONARY. *continues laughing*" And there's the cake scene again. This is even more special to me as it's the first Ten era episode Ive watched since... January? February? 0_0

Im too bored to post more. But I just watched Matt and Karen talking about hamsters, so I think I'll leave these people who are following me to find out what the heck I'm talking about. WOOHOO!

Random DW Rant. Spoilers and angry fangirls, beware~!

Ive been rewatching a lot of Ten-era Doctor Who lately. If you don't know what that is, don't read. Google "Doctor Who" or go on Wikipedia and read about it. Fantastic show. I adore it. But Im not here to introduce it to new folks, Im here to rant as I REwatch some episodes.

My take on Doctor Who: I love it. I have a fez and a tag with the Police Box instructions on it and a 'save the fez' sticker to prove it. I like Nine, he's ok. Ten is amazing, but Eleven is my favorite. However, Ive recently been rewatching Ten's run. And he was fantastic.

The thing that jumps out to me as the difference between Eleven's and Ten's run is the colors. Just the colors. Ten is more of a... orange glow and explosions and creeping around after dark, shadows on buildings and the smell of smoke and the metallic glint of mechanical objects. Eleven is blues and grays and beiges (according to spellcheck, that isnt a word), mist in an abandoned castle, wiping off dewdrops from a flower, stepping outside after a good night of rain. Does anyone else understand this comparison? Even just listening to the music for Ten and Eleven you can hear and feel the differences.

You can see Ten, running from explosions galore, singed eyebrows and the lot. And then you see Eleven, looking cool against a subtle watery blue vortex in the background.

Does anyone else feel these differences?

Another thing.

I was watching the Series 3 episode with Jack, Martha, and Ten in it "Utopia." One thing that struck me immediately was the fact that the universe there was very interconnected. Martha's cousin died at Canary Warf. Jack looked at the list of the dead and found his friend there. Rose disappeared after Canary Warf. The Doctor met Martha nearly right after.

All of a sudden, while watching the Doctor and Jack talk about what happened before, I got the feeling that this sort of conversation may not happen in the Moff/Eleven era. It feels like the Davies era is one universe and the Moff's is an entire new one. Of course, sometimes they intersect, like when Eleven commented "Oh look, an Ood! I love an Ood!" in an episode this year, or when Eleven was trying to figure out why Amy didn't remember the Daleks. Those moments make me happy.

Maybe whatever happens in the Davies era stays in the Davies era. Except for River Song. But wait! She belongs more so to the Moff's era than the Davies! ARGH!

Sometimes I hate Doctor Who because it's so confusing.

Ten rocks. Im going to go and rewatch "Army of Ghosts." I like Torchwood and I like it when people hate the Doctor and think of him as a legend (which is probably why I adored "A Good Man Goes to War" - especially the last bit, either with the Doctor and Kovarian arguing about the child, or the Doctor and River facing off [WHERE THE HELL. HAVE YOU BEEN.]. I got so genuinely scared of the Doctor during that scene... How the heck did River not break into tears at his rage?)

-----rewatching begins ehre------

Must I tell you how much I dislike Rose? I mean, sure, she was the first character we, as the audience, we introduced to, but her personality is basically nonexistent and... boring. Im going to go up and say that even Martha had more personality. I don't dislike Martha, she's ok, but nothing too spectacular. My fav companion of NuWho goes either to Donna or Amy, who are both very dynamic and interesting characters. Whenever Amy gets under pressure, she gives really short and blunt sentences. Donna complains about everything and anything and is just such a fun character to watch, but she would REALLY get on your nerves if she complained about you. Rose has none of those great character values. She just sorta... stands there and looks stupid. Maybe I am a bit bias, but if she was introduced a bit later in the series, like a year or two after the series' beginning, she would of actually had character and been so much more interesting than she is at this moment (for me, just having her comment on her mom's insanity is boring). Even my brother, when we were watching "Utopia" yesterday commented how Amy was the first companion that actually... "fit" into the series.

However, Ten rocks. He's just so,.. There. He's awesome, energetic, down-to-earth. I found out I miss that down-to-earth-ness in Eleven, since he's always going, "ooh,... look... weeeeee~" Just as a thought, for my friends who are active on Gmail Buzz know this, but I made the HUGE mistake of googling "doctor who gifs". My friend called later and I laughed on the phone for 10 minutes. Anyways, I went and posted all my favorite gifs online, right? Well, my brother joined me. And he found this comparison of some of the classic Doctors, and then Eleven. There were three gifs in a row. In the top one, one of the Doctors (I want to say the Fifth) tapped the nose of a companion. Next gif. Seven tapped the nose of a companion. Next gif. Eleven tapped the nose of Amy Pond. :D When I saw it, I practically jumped for joy. I read that Eleven seemed to act much more like the Classic Doctors than the NuWho ones, and this confirmed it for me. And no, I dont remember the link. Sorry.

---returns to watching---

Ive never noticed the music in Ten's run, but now, I realize that even if Torchwood is remotely involved in whatever the Doctor is doing at the moment, the "DO DO DO nananananana" theme plays. I squeal at those moments in pure fangirl joy. :3 (On a side note: I spelled "realize" with an "s". I swear these British shows are affecting my language. I was talking with a Welsh accent yesterday with my brother also, and that one night in February that I watched a ton of Doctor Who in an all-nighter i came to school talking in some British accent. Dunno which.)

---

Ten is hilarious. That's all I can say. Silly, serious, all around weird yet perfectly normal. interesting. But not exotic. WHO YA GONNA CALL? GHOSTBUSTERS!! I AINT AFRAID NO GHOSTS! XD

---

You know what I love? That Torchwood goes all 0_0 NO WAI at mention of the Doctor. They just see that blue box and go... "Is that him?" You know what Id love? If someone made a fanfiction in the style of a textbook for new Torchwood members. Like, the history of Torchwood and what it does. How it started. How it evolved and stuff. 8D Im, like, insanely happy right now. I love the music that plays when someone notices the Doctor. It's so strange and mysterious and... lonely.

--=

This is just so weird. 0_0 8D I have these two feelings at the same time. They need to create an emote for that. Im going to start saying 'marvalous' more now. Ten rocks so much.

--
I made the mistake of, again, googling "doctor who gifs." ^My feeling right now. It's awesome. Don't mess with these two. Ten and Donna. AWESOME.

---

Look at this thing. it's amazing. Just... OH MY GOD. I had to go and lie down and have a laughing fit. Then I started coughing. Then I laughed some more.
